FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – NEW 36VOLT DC GEARMOTOR“Powerful, HIGH EFFICIENCY, Unit provides benefits for SOLAR TRACKING EQUIPMENT, Robotics & Automation Applications”

18 May 2009 “Low Current, Unique 36 Volt DC Gearmotor Develops 398 IN. LB. Torque at 13 RPM”

Midwest Motion Products of Watertown, Minnesota, is pleased to announce the release of a new DC Gear Motor, the Model No. MMP-TM55-36VGP57-308. Accepting any 36 Volt DC Power source, including battery power, this robust Gear Motor measures just 2.14” in Diameter, by 7.75” long, and has a keyed output shaft of 12mm diameter by 25mm long.

Custom output shafting is available. Easy mounting is accomplished with 4 “face mount” M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm Dia. B.C.

The output of this reversible gearmotor is rated for 398 IN LBS continuous torque, at 13 RPM, and 443 IN LBS Peak. Despite its compact size, and weight of approximately 4 pounds, it’s an efficient design, requiring just 2.1 Amps at 36Volts DC to generate its Full Load Torque. That translates into long life battery charge, very low noise operation, and lower costs for related drive electronics.  Motor windings for 12, 24, 48, 60 & 90 Volts are available. This unique design is rated at an “IP-54” protection level for operation in harsh environments. IP-65 PROTECTION IS ALSO AVAILABLE. Variable Speed is accomplished with our fully compatible Speed Controls, Model MMP 25A-48V, or MMP 20A-48V-RSP.

A limited supply of Samples is available FROM STOCK for rapid prototyping needs. An up to date listing of Finished Products available from Stock can be found at http://www.midwestmotion.com/inventory.pdf

Typical options available from the Company include Servo Motors with integral Optical Encoders, Failsafe Brakes, Analog Tachometers, and a variety of Planetary Gearheads, with standard ratios ranging from 3:1 to 2653:1, and standard or low backlash precision gearing available. Motor Winding Options include 12V, 24V, 48V, 60V and 90 Volts DC.

The company offers a variety of standard ancillary equipment including DC power supplies, DC Servomotors, PWM Servo Amplifiers, Motor Speed Controls, Linear Actuators and a wide variety of DC gear-motors. Custom Motor Shaft and mounting configurations are also available. Typical applications include Battery Operated Motors & E.V. drives, Medical, Mobility / Accessibility products, Robotics & Automation including (Military) Unmanned Guided Vehicles, Semiconductor Processing Equipment, Actuators, Packaging & Labeling Machines, Woodworking & Metalworking Machines, Dynamic Displays for Tradeshows and many other applications requiring precise motion control.

THIS VERSATILE DESIGN ALSO OPERATES ON 24V DC, YIELDING 9 RPM OF OUTPUT SPEED, AT 398 IN LBS.
